To support youth by collaborating with Integrated Family Service Worker to ensure all eligible youth are successful in their independence. The Post Majority Support Supervisor reports to the Manager of Post Majority Support Services and collaborates with the On-Going Protection Supervisors of Protection Services. The Post Majority Support Supervisor will help to oversee Post Majority Program services offered to youth. The Post Majority Support Supervisors will provide a range of services within the youths eco-system/community. Knowledge of the FSIN Child Welfare and Family Support Act and the Saskatchewan Child and Family Services Act. The ISC Desk Book, Youth in Transition Care Handbook, Children Services Manual, Child Protection Services Manual, the Provincial Child Abuse Protocol (Duty to Report), knowledge of Bill-C92; Post Majority Support ISC Guide. Understanding of the Jordans Principle guidelines and procedures. Be knowledgeable of the 14 Member Nations with Yellow Thunderbird Lodge.
Possess experience with engaging youth and facilitating groups/ workshops.
Should have an understanding of the developmental stages for this demographic and learning styles of youth.
Must have knowledge of the available assessment tools (their use, application, degree of accuracy), as well as the ability to give a written assessment based on the results of one or more of the tools used.
Ability to provide leadership through encouragement, collaborations and the promotion of healthy, positive working relationships with the objective of achieving youth, team and organization goals.
Qualifications:
Four (4) year University Degree, BSW/BISW and or equivalent education
Two (2) to five (5) years of supervisory experience in human services.
