Description

MGBHLM First Nation is seeking a Temporary 1-year Disabilities Services Coordinator. Responsible
for a variety of day-to-day operational and administrative tasks. Reporting to Director of Health.

Duties and responsibilities:
    Assessing the needs of individuals with disabilities and developing appropriate care plans
    Support individuals to identify the housing needs and other medical devices to support their life independence.
    Coordinating services with other agencies and professionals
    Ensuring that individuals with disabilities have access to necessary resources and services
    Advocating for individuals with disabilities and their rights
    Implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
    Providing training and education to staff and others on disability issues
    Preparing and maintaining reports and records related to services provided
    Assisting with the planning and implementation of outreach programs
    Developing and managing program budgets
    Conducting program evaluations to ensure effectiveness and compliance
Qualifications:
    Must have a minimum certificate, diploma in related field
    Previous administrative experience
    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity working with spreadsheets
    Ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    Communication and interpersonal skills
    Highly resourceful with a track record of anticipating next steps
    Enjoys working as part of a team
    Ability to multitask
    Must have a valid class 5 drivers' license, Reliable transportation.
