Job Description:
The Seasonal Maintenance Operator will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks, primarily focusing on mowing, equipment operation, rock picking and general upkeep of public spaces throughout the municipality. This position runs from April to early November, offering an excellent opportunity for those seeking seasonal employment in a rural setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a variety of equipment, including graders, mowers, and trucks, to maintain municipal roads, drainage systems, and infrastructure
Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
Assist with road grading, ditch cleaning, and culvert maintenance
Assist with general labor duties, including landscaping, brush clearing, and signage installation
Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols
Maintain accurate records of work completed
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating equipment (e.g., grader, mower, or truck) is an asset
Valid Class 5 drivers license (or higher) with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and safety
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions

Salary:
Wages will be negotiated based on experience. Wages range from $30-$37/HR
