Are you a payroll professional with a knack for managing complex processes? If you excel in a detail-oriented environment and are dedicated to delivering excellence, we want you to join our team! As a Payroll Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process for the City of Regina and external organizations. This includes overseeing payroll scheduling, time and attendance tracking, and ensuring accurate financial and payroll account record-keeping in compliance with relevant legislation and collective bargaining agreements.
In this role, you will process payroll, manage CRA deductions, and reconcile payroll accounts, all while providing senior payroll support to both the payroll branch and other departments. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing reports for internal and external stakeholders, validating earnings and deductions, and overseeing training and process updates. To qualify, candidates must have a college diploma or degree with Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification, a minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, and knowledge of payroll principles, policies, and systems. This position also requires strong customer service skills, the ability to adapt to deadlines, and a focus on maintaining confidentiality.
