Description

Royal University Hospital (RUH) Foundation is seeking a Special Events and Annual Gifts Officer to join its team. If selected as the successful candidate, your experience and passion for developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential donors and corporate and community partners will have a daily impact on patients, their families and the medical teams who care for them at RUH. The Foundation is looking for someone who will embrace their curiosity and desire to learn and be personally inspired about the innovative and life changing work that happens within RUH.  The Special Events and Annual Gifts Officer is an integral member of a dynamic development team that works together to capitalize on RUH Foundations integrated fundraising programs.

The primary responsibilities of the Special Events and Annual Gifts Officer include planning and executing signature programs and events, managing direct mail programs, and supporting both internal and external community events. The role involves securing support from sponsors, donors, and attendees for Foundation events and programs, as well as providing ongoing support to volunteer committees.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in event management, possess strong organizational and relationship-building skills, and have excellent communication and writing abilities. Additionally, candidates should either have an undergraduate degree or have post-secondary education and relevant work experience.
