Description

Yorkton Tribal Council, Child & Family Services is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the position of Finance Clerk. Under the supervision of the Finance Supervisor, the Finance Clerk will provide the Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc. with maintaining accurate financial and payroll records.

Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge/experience and/or certification of the Sage ACCPAC plus computerized accounting systems are a definite asset.
Experience in budgeting and reporting.
Knowledge and experience of database programs in EXCEL and ACCESS.
Knowledge and experience of MICROSOFT OFFICE.
Understanding of the Aboriginal cultures, government and provincial/federal funding agencies.
Understanding of the Child & Family Services Act, Policy and Procedures Manuals as they pertain to both Federal and Provincial legislation.
Must be able to perform varied complex and diversified accounting functions related to revenues, expenditures and cost sharing.
Must be able to balance a variety of ledgers, prepare weekly, monthly trial balances and reconciliations.
Must display excellent written and oral communications skills, as well as organizational skills and the ability to work with limited supervision.
Knowledge of the Cree, Nakota and Saulteaux Culture and the political and social objectives of the YTCCFS Inc. member First Nations.
Possess a valid drivers license and possess a reliable vehicle.
Must be willing to upgrade skills when time and funding permits.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
Must be able to sign an Oath of Confidentiality.
Must display professional office manner.
