Note: Successful Candidates who commence employment prior to the Saskatchewan Deputy Sheriff Training Academy will be compensated at a training rate of pay. Upon commencement of the Course, your salary will be reviewed and adjusted to reflect the fully certified Level 7 Deputy Sheriff wage. The next Deputy Sheriff Recruit Course will take place in Regina on April 21st, 2025.

Deputy Sheriffs provide security services as assigned within the Courts of Saskatchewan to ensure a safe and secure environment for all users of court facilities. The duties performed by the Deputy Sheriffs are an integral component of the administration of the court and in achieving the goals and objectives of the Court Security Branch.

Deputy Sheriffs are responsible for the safe and timely transportation of persons to and from court locations across the province (e.g., correctional centers, RCMP detachments, municipal police agencies, etc.).
