Description

The HVAC Services Manager maintains; overhauls, and repairs HVAC equipment and related systems in all buildings managed by the Saskatoon Housing Authority.

assess/repair, undertake/complete, coordinate repairs/follow-ups related to the site HVAC mechanical & building emergency systems
assess operation of all components of properties, including structural, mechanical, site, and building cosmetics
Perform/coordinate preventive maintenance, and overhaul on building HVAC systems.
Perform/coordinate necessary repairs on-site, with minimal interruption/impact to tenant/employees
Coordinate/recommendations on insurance claims
assess, undertake/complete, coordinate work/follow-ups on special projects, ensuring Residential Standards and Codes are met
budgetary recommendations for mechanical systems and special projects
Coordinate contractors when jobs cannot be completed in-house
Involved with Manager, Capital Assets and Property Services in tendering replacements of major HVAC components
Responsible to replace and inspect furnaces, boilers and water heaters
Communicate effectively/respectfully with Managers, staff, tenants, and others

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

General Gas Fitter Certification (G2 Certification)
Journeyman Plumbing Certifications
Fifth Class Engineers Certificate
Refrigeration Operators Certificate
Five years+ experience in general maintenance & technical training
Knowledge of Residential Standards/Code and Occupational Health & Safety Regs
Knowledge/ability to repair plumbing, electrical, & mechanical systems, building emergency systems
valid drivers license & daily use of a roadworthy vehicle
minimum vehicle 3rd-party liability insurance of $1,000,000
Able to work outside regular hours
Clear Criminal Record Check (CRC) with vulnerable sector
