Job Description: The Staff Recreation Therapist's primary focus is to provide Recreation Therapy services to patients on the Convalescent Unit and the Rehabilitation Unit at SCH. This position reports to the GEM Program Manager and the Rehabilitation Interprofessional Manager. The role of the Staff Recreation Therapist is to increase patients independent leisure functioning and health through involvement in leisure and recreational activities. Coordinates volunteers, assists in transition/discharge of patients to home and community or to alternate levels of care. The Staff Recreation Therapist will participate in student preceptoring. The Staff Recreation Therapist is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team on both units
