Description

Analyst, Treasury Operations, Banking and Liquidity

The Provincial Treasury Office (PTO) in the Ministry of Finance provides leadership in conducting and managing the financing requirements for the Government of Saskatchewan, Crown Corporations and other government agencies. It manages the provincial debt, investment portfolios, and the cash position of the General Revenue Fund.

PTO has an opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join the Treasury Operations, Banking and Liquidity team to support the implementation of new investment and debt management system and processes, and to accommodate growth.

Typically, the knowledge, skills and abilities required to be successful in this position include:

- Background or experience in accounting, finance or treasury management roles, with a preference for direct settlement experience in a large organization.
- Proven success in developing new processes and systems evaluation.
An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a financially oriented discipline. Progress toward or completion of a CFA or CPA designation is an asset.
- Expertise with Excel modelling, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with investment systems and basic coding skills are definite assets.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders and senior management.
- Commitment to team-based environments and excellent verbal and written capabilities.
