The Opportunity
In addition to supporting a growing organization, our emerging and talented HR team is also in build mode  meaning that the successful candidate will have the unique and exciting opportunity to partner, collaborate and shape the future state of ELR and HR within the organization.

This is a leadership role within our organization  from coaching Business Partners and Leaders with an ELR lens, as well as contributing to the overall strategic priorities of the organization and division. In other words, this role is pivotal in providing HR leadership that enables the organization to have the right people, in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills, living our desired culture.

How will you do this?
Through influencing and relationship building  partner with those key stakeholders and ensure understanding of the root cause and strategic priorities.
Equip yourself and the team with fact-based knowledge and research.
Be strategic and innovative  think beyond the obvious and develop solutions, strategies, tools & programming that add value.
Leadership  understand the people and your team. Know when to mentor versus coach and how to build on strengths.
Collaborative  value input and working with others as a way to achieve the best outcome possible.


Negotiation  negotiate in a manner that results in positive business outcomes while maintaining strong relations with the other parties.

Typically, the Ideal Candidate would have:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field. CPHR designation would be considered an asset;
Minimum of 5-8 years of human resources experience with an ELR focus and in a unionized environment;
Deep understanding of provincial and federal labour laws, unions, bargaining, collective bargaining agreements.
