The Planning Assistant will:
-Assist with the development and building permits, public inquiries and council reports
-Conduct research, chat with residents and collaborate with professionals to find creative solutions for community development
-Collect and organize housing and land data
-Create reports and information packages on planning-related topics
What you will bring to the position:
-A valid class 5 driver's license
-A Post-secondary student returning to school in the fall
-Have an interest in urban planning, geography, public administration or a related field
-Strong research, problem solving and communication skills
-A positive attitude, teamwork spirit and the enthusiasm to learn

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (7.5hr day)
