Are you passionate about doing meaningful work? Do you care about water as one of our most important resources? The Water Security Agency is seeking a Technologist to join the Hydrometric Services team.
Reporting to the Manager, Hydrometric Program or designated Supervisor, an employee in this job will, in both field and office settings and within an assigned district, undertake duties associated with the WSAs Hydrometric Program specific to the collection, processing, and documentation of hydrological and other related environmental data.
Duties and responsibilities will primarily be:
*Conduct field operations required for the collection of hydrological data on rivers and lakes ensuring data is accurate and complete
*Process and analyze collected hydrological data and prepare applicable technical reports, drawings, charts and graphs as required.
*Conduct specialized field surveys and studies to assist with various hydrologic investigations and studies and assist in performing structures operations and inspections
The successful candidate will have Diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology or a similar technical discipline and be eligible to obtain a Registered Professional Technologist with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS) as a Professional Technologist (PTech or P.Tech).
