- Operate cash register
- Customer service oriented
- Scan items, process money and credit/debit card payments
- Greet customers
- Enter prices of items on cash register
- Keep the register area neat
- Receive payment for goods and services
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of a shift
- Handle refunds and resolve customers' complaints
- Bagging, boxing, or gift-wrapping merchandise for clients
- Assist with shelf-stocking, clean up, and displays
- May assign other duties
