Community Navigator and Executive Assistant
The Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation is currently accepting applications for Community Navigator and Executive Assistant to the Chief and Council. This position requires an individual with a good understanding of the community and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure. Strong facilitation skills are essential, as the role involves engaging audiences of all ages. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential to promote information about services and events effectively. Additionally, well-established organizational skills, coordination skills, Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to develop and follow budgets are important. Time management skills are also crucial for this role.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with membership and ensure members voices are included in community plans and policy
Develop and maintain a community database (community info and library of community reports)
Prepare proposals and coordinate community lead projects/initiatives that aim to build up the capacity of the community.
Prepare a yearly plan and budget
Build, and maintain, relationships with external partners and funders.
Ensure all funding reports are completed and submitted on time. Attend networking events and workshops as they arise.
Research and prepare proposals and funding applications for funds for initiatives outlined in the community plan.
Prepare a fiscal year-end report on all activities, events, classes and the financial expenditures.
Update the Community Plan as needed.
Provide administrative support to the Chief and Council as required.
Facilitating Chief and Council meetings as required.
Assist with the development of the communitys yearly operation plan.
Qualifications:
Well-established organizational skills (especially filing documents and note-taking)
Experience in MS Office
Ability to develop and follow budgets
Good time management skills
