The head cook over sees our Food Security Program and Kitchen. This position will be responsible for various tasks including, but not limited to:
Seeking ways to improve kitchen processes and ensure prompt service
Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
Training of staff
Monitor and control food costs
Quality control
Inventory management
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen as per federal and provincial food safety laws
Monitoring of equipment
Requirements:
Must have 3 to 5 years experience in commercial food preparation
Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Must have a strong commitment to customer service excellence
Excellent communication skills with guests and co-workers
Work Details:
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Time Off: Earn 1 day off every 3 weeks
Vacation & Sick Time: 2 weeks of vacation and sick time monthlyt
