Description

The Quality Assurance Coordinator under the supervision of the Director of Member Nations Services will coordinate a review of Program files for all units within the Member Nations Services Unit.  Quality Assurance (QA) reviews will provide and inform the training needs of YTL personnel. The QA Coordinator will develop and implement a QA review schedule for the individual units. QA file reviews will occur on a consistent basis, measuring key performance indicators based on standards, goals, and outcomes of YTL service programs. The QA Coordinator will utilize Quality Assurance measurement tools, to review 100% of the respective files. The QA findings will inform unit strengths and opportunities to improve service delivery. Working in conjunction with the Yellow Thunderbird Lodge Programs & Services units, this individual must possess the ability to facilitate and coordinate file reviews. The Quality Assurance Coordinator understands the complexity and multi-dimensional nature of many social problems affecting children and families (child abuse, maltreatment/abuse, etc.). The Quality Assurance Coordinator must have the ability to understand the impacts of colonialism on First Nations peoples, Indian Residential Schools, intergenerational trauma and how these factors impact individuals and families and influence the child welfare system in First Nation communities. Knowledge of a First Nations language is considered an asset. Knowledge of the Anishinabek, Nehiyew, Nakota, Dakota and Lakota and the political and social objectives of the YTL-YTCCFS Inc. member First Nations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW or BISW) OR
- Four (4) year University undergraduate degree in a related
  discipline and demonstrated direct child
  protection services experience OR
- Certificate/Diploma in related discipline and Child Protection
  experience.
