Responsibilities: To work closely with the youth residents and children of the YWCA Youth Transitional housing and youth in crisis to provide guidance and support to improve their quality of life. Develop and provide programming in life skills and cultural practices. To maintain a clean and secure facility and to provide assistance to the public and residents when necessary.
Duties:
Assistance in developing case plans for youth residents;
Transport youth and children to and from recreational/cultural activities, as well as appointments;
Develop programming specifically geared towards Youth living a transient lifestyle or in crisis, life skills and cultural practices;
Delivery appropriate programming to the Youth;
Liaise with the community and develop partnerships with Community
Program Delivery Officers (ex.: Addictions, Harm Reduction, Sexual
Education);
Provide support, referrals, and advocacy for the residents;
Liaise with the Ministry of Social Services;
Ensure policies are adhered to as per contract with the Ministry of Social Services;
Provide support to the Youth residing in Transitional Housing;
Provide feedback to Central Avenue Manager regarding residence issues;
Provide feedback to the Central Avenue Manager on major issues and
incident reports;
Attend to crises as they arise during non-office hours. Contact the Central Avenue Manager in the event of a major crisis;

Be available for an on-call rotation;
All other duties as requested;
