Description

As a Public Works Labourer, you will assist the RM public works team in maintaining and improving public infrastructure, including roads, pathways, boulevards, and other public spaces. Some of your tasks might include:
- Operating and maintaining small equipment, including grass mowers, weed trimmers, utility vehicle and other public works equipment;
- Clean and maintain parks, sidewalks, streets, roads, and other public spaces and facilities;
- Work with full-time public works staff to ensure public work responsibilities are achieved; and
- Maintain and care for flower beds/pots, trees and shrubs, including pruning, fertilizing, planting, and staking.
This position is perfect for students studying engineering, landscaping or other related fields, who are not in education or training, or who are early leavers from high school.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To apply as a Labourer Summer Student, you should have the following skills;
Due to federal funding requirements  be between 15 and 30 as of May 1st 2025
Due to federal funding requirements  be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee
Have a valid Saskatchewan drivers licence and clean abstract
Have a general knowledge of operating and maintaining small equipment, PME training is an asset
Be able to multitask and possess strong attention to detail
Be able to communicate clearly and concisely
Assist with other duties as required
