As a Relief Staff member, you will play a key role in ensuring continuity of care by stepping in to support classrooms when regular staff are away. This position requires adaptability, strong teamwork, and a passion for working with children.
Provide supervision and care for children ranging from infants to preschool age.
-Step in to cover shifts in different classrooms and sites as required.
-Follow daily routines, assist with meals, naps, and activities.
-Engage with children in play-based learning and developmentally appropriate activities.
-Maintain a safe and clean environment while adhering to daycare policies and licensing regulations.
-Collaborate with other staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
-Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members.
Qualifications
-Early Childhood Education (ECE) Level 1, 2, or 3 (preferred) or willingness to obtain certification.
-Experience working with children in a childcare setting is an asset.
-Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
-A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
-Flexibility to work in various classrooms and adapt to changing schedules.
-A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a passion for early childhood education.
