Inspection and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough inspections of trucks to identify mechanical and electrical issues. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle conditions.

Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs and routine maintenance on various truck components, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical systems. Replace or repair defective parts as necessary.

Preventive Maintenance: Carry out regular preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, to ensure vehicles operate efficiently and safely.

Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities performed on each vehicle.

Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain necessary repairs, and provide recommendations for vehicle upkeep.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems in heavy-duty trucks.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and determine effective solutions.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous in performing inspections and repairs to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy parts and tools, and work in various physical positions.

Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

Education and Experience: Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with specialized training in diesel mechanics or a related field. Relevant certifications and previous experience in truck maintenance are often preferred.
