Description

Rivers West District for Sport, Culture & Recreation Inc. is seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Development Coordinator to design and coordinate community and capacity-building initiatives within the Rivers West District. This role will focus on fostering communication and collaboration among various stakeholders to promote sport, culture, and recreation. If you're an organized, proactive individual with a passion for community development and creating connections, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
    Design and implement community and capacity-building initiatives that support the development of sport, culture, and recreation.
    Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders, including local communities, and organizations
    Build and maintain strong networks to promote and advance sport, culture, and recreation opportunities within the district.
    Foster collaboration and shared learning among other districts and stakeholders.
    Conduct community visitations within the Rivers West District to assess needs and gather input on initiatives.
    Ensure all projects and interactions are conducted in a professional and respectful manner.

Qualifications:
    Post-secondary education in a relevant field (asset, but not required).
    Is legally entitled to work in Canada (as either a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or is a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act).
    Experience working in any of the following fields: recreation, sport or culture, community development, tourism, environmental sciences, kinesiology, history, geography, biology or program development.
    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills.
    Valid drivers license and ability to travel within the district as needed.
