Description

The La Ronge Child Care Co-op is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Director on a 1-year term.

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the daycare centre. They are responsible for managing staff, parent relationships, and childcare programming. The Director is expected to model and demonstrate professionalism and leadership to support a positive work environment. They will work closely with the Executive Director, Assistant Director, Board of Directors, Bookkeeper, and Ministry to ensure the centre operates efficiently in accordance with policies and the Childcare Act and Regulations.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide oversight, direction and supervision of the centre staff while establishing clear lines of communication at all levels.
- Actively review and implement employee policy.
- Work with Executive Director to handle all matters in relation to human resources, including recruitment, retention, terminations, employee relations, discipline, accountability, compensation, benefits, etc.
- Actively support and seek professional development opportunities to establish and maintain a professional and competent workforce essential to achieving the goals and objectives of the organization.
- Oversee the continual development and progress of children enrolled.
Maintain accurate record keeping as required for the operation of the organization.
- Coordinate all requirements for licensing renewals.

SKILLS:
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organization, verbal and written communication, problem solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- ECE III (Diploma)
- Ability to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid First Aid & CPR
- Valid class 5 driver's license
