Description

La Ronge Childcare Cooperative is looking for an organized, creative, and energetic person to join the management team at our Churchill location on a 1-year temporary basis!

The Supervisor is responsible for fulfilling the role of Educator, assisting the Director with the day-to-day operations of the daycare centre, and to fill in in the absence of the Director.  

The Supervisor is expected to model and demonstrate professionalism and leadership to support a positive work environment. They will work closely with the Director to ensure the centre operates efficiently in accordance with policies and the Childcare Act and Regulations.  

Job Duties:
- Support the Director in enforcing policies
- Provide Centre management in the absence of the Director
- Manage day to day staffing, ensuring appropriate classroom coverage
- Maintain positive relationships with staff and management
- Actively participate in staff meetings
- Provide in-class support for Educators
- Perform all aspects of planning and implementing the daycare program
- Respond quickly to children's needs
- Facilitate development of children
- Provide first aid as needed
- Assess children's health
- Plan curriculum and implement activities
- Document observations
- Maintain attendance forms for the Ministry and Director

The successful applicant will possess:
- an ECE level II or III certificate
- First Aid certificate
- Food Safe certificate (preferred)
- Valid driver's license (preferred)
- Satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector search (recent within 6 months)
