Description

DIVE IN AND MAKE A SPLASH EVERY DAY, BY:
Plunging into supervising the daily activities of the claims & facilities team ensuring adherence to company policies.
Assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient claims handling and of company facilities requirements, including maintenance requests and service coordination.
Answers questions, reviews decisions on substandard claims and on large claims and authorizes claims exceeding subordinates authorization levels within defined limits.
Supports the implementation of claims best practices, policies, and procedures to staff and independent adjusters.
Responds to and resolves major inquiries and complaints from claims staff, underwriting and marketing staff, brokers, and policyholders.
Supports the Manager, Claims & Facilities in negotiating service agreements and coordinating major building renovations.
Provides recommendations to improve efficiency and service delivery within the claims and facilities functions.
Perform other duties as required.

WHAT YOU BRING TO SANDBOX:
Education: A Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
Experience Counts: Five (5) or more years claims experience in the property & casualty insurance industry.
Claims Wizard: Knowledge of insurance claims principles and practices and operations and the impact of claims on the business of insurance; knowledge of the adjusting process.
Master Communicator: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and manage multiple tasks and deadlines despite interruption
Detail Detective: Ability to visualize, articulate, conceptualize, or solve problems by making decisions that are logical and reasonable given the available information.
People Person: Practices a hands-on approach when directing employees, empowers employees to be successful through training, developing, and coaching. Holds people accountable by ensuring they meet individual and organizational objectives in an appropriate manner.
