The Job
Youll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial and regulatory reporting by preparing financial statements and compliance reports while reviewing accounting entries and reconciliations for accuracy. You'll also document financial policies, draft new procedures, support audits, and proactively resolve issues to keep everything running smoothly.
In financial planning and analysis, you'll assist with budgeting and forecasting by preparing projection templates, working with department managers to develop financial plans, and ensuring seamless integration of budget data into accounting systems. Your insights will help leadership and governance committees make informed decisions.
The Candidate
You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong foundation in financial reporting, management reporting and accounting policies. Your expertise in the D365 general ledger system, banking systems, and reporting modules allows you to navigate complex financial data with ease. With excellent problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset, you thrive under deadlines and manage your time effectively. Experience with change management, business analysis, and project management further enhances your ability to drive process improvements.
You have a diploma in accounting or a degree in commerce or business, or equivalent experience. With at least two years of experience in financial reporting, you bring a solid understanding of financial principles, policies, and practices. Knowledge of the credit union system or financial services sector is a strong advantage.
