Southeast College is seeking a detail oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team and support our financial operations in a serene community of Weyburn.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Controller to manage accounts payable/receivable, perform banking functions, and assist with other financial duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage cash receipts, accounts receivable, and supplier invoices.
Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports.
Perform bank reconciliations and fund transfers.
Administer purchase orders and filing systems.
Process payments and maintain accounts payable records.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Review expense reports and provide ad-hoc reporting in Excel.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and software
Ability to perform accurate financial calculations and reconciliations
Excellent organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
Commitment to confidentiality
A passion for fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace culture
Education & Experience:
One year of post-secondary education in business or related field.
1-2 years of accounting experience.
