Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Perform a wide range of facility based operational activities and maintenance including janitorial duties, minor repairs maintain washrooms, bleachers and dressing room facilities
Operate and maintain equipment including Zamboni, mowers, small machinery, hand tools
Provide daily janitorial duties including sweep, wash floors and Event set-up and take down for various activities held in the recreation facilities
Ensure foot traffic safety by keeping all walkways clear of snow, ice and debris
Enforce all rules and regulations regarding public health and safety.
Make the ice surface and maintain ice surface during the hockey season
Report necessary incidents, delays, mechanical problems, technical maintenance issues and accidents
Assist with boiler and refrigeration systems operation and maintenance
Ensure building and facilities are vacant and secure at the end of the day
Identify hazards and perform corrective measures, and/ or report hazards to supervisor
Answer and act on public enquiries and complaints as required
Inquire with Recreation Coordinator with regard to facility bookings and rentals
Ensure compliance with and perform all duties in accordance with federal or provincial legislation and related regulations as well as policies, procedures and guidelines, established operational work plans and activities provided by the Director of Sports and Recreation
Provide recommendations with reference to planned and scheduled maintenance, repair, renovation and construction projects
Attend and participate in workshops, meetings, seminars and conferences when requested and/or approved by immediate supervisor
Carry out such other work-related duties as requested by the immediate supervisor
Follow and adhere to the LLRIB Personnel Policy Manual
Maintain positive public relations on behalf of JRMCC Sports & Recreation Department and the Lac La Ronge Indian Band
