Our childcare center is searching for a cook.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking and is looking for a flexible work day. Ideally, the hours would be from 7:45 to 3:15 HOWEVER we can definitely work a 9am to 3pm day. The candidate must have a clear criminal record check as well as a valid Safe food handling certificate - we can also provide paid time to complete this course online if you do not have it prior to employment. Experience in the kitchen is a must.CPR and first aid are not mandatory but are preferred. The menu is a 20 day rotational menu set up by the Director and can be updated and changed throughout the year. Our menu consists of many basic meals ranging from lasagna, chili, soups and roasts.The cook is responsible for food prep, cleaning the work space, cleaning dishes and adhering to safe food handling practices. The cook is responsible for preparing a weekly grocery list and putting away the groceries upon delivery.  Menu and recipes must be followed to ensure children with allergies are fed safely.Please note this position is at our south center at 3615 Kings Road.
