Description

As a Senior Lifeguard/Instructor of the Aquatic Centre, reporting to the Head Lifeguard and/or Pool Manager, you are energetic and responsible for the direct delivery of swim programs, life guarding duties-patron safety while in the pool and on land, attend all in-service training, complete all required reports, maintain attendance information, maintain the equipment inventory, be compliant with the Aquatic Safety Plan, perform regular maintenance/cleaning/pool chemistry tests and adhere/enforce all pool policies/procedures.

The Senior Guard will be responsible for opening and closing the facility, cashout, and assisting the Head Guard whenever possible.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and customer service skills. An ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations is essential. Preference will be given to an individual who has worked at the Assiniboia Aquatic Centre a minimum of two seasons and has demonstrated the ability to work in a highly structured and dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will need to provide a Criminal Records/ Vulnerable Sector Check prior to the first day of work if over 18 years of age.

The work schedule will include days, evenings and weekends
