Description

Stanmore Lift Equipment Ltd. is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic who can perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on our fleet and customer equipment.  This position is based out of our Saskatoon, SK location and we are seeking both Shop & Mobile Mechanics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Completing scheduled maintenance on heavy equipment, and other equipment relating to the site as required
-Ensure schedules and equipment availability requirements are met
-Perform smaller repairs as required but not limited to starters, hoses, alternators, batteries, lighting, and other electrical issues
-Work with oxygen and acetylene torches
-Willing to train for best practices via OEMs and customer requirements
-Work with others effectively and courteously
-Self-motivated to complete tasks as efficiently as possible following Health and Safety guidelines from the company, OEM, and customers
-Maintenance of own and company tools and vehicles. Company vehicles must be kept clean and safe as per the guidelines and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-Previous experience performing maintenance and repairs on Aerial Equipment & Telescopic Forklifts
-Previous experience in electrical, hydraulics, and construction equipment
-Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment
-Must have their basic work tools. Task specific tools will be supplied
-Comfortable with going to customer sites
-Punctual, willing to learn, work well with others
-Experience with welding is an asset
-Maintaining a valid drivers license is a job requirement
-Able to work on occasional Saturdays and evenings when required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$50.00 per hour

-Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (preferred)
