Science 10, Health and Physical Science Teacher - SCIEN001032-00009

The teaching assignment may include Science 10, Health and Physical Science at the 20 and/or 30 levels based on the Saskatchewan Curriculum.

Experience in secondary science, general science, online teaching, or online program supervision would be considered an asset.

At Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre, we are committed to providing students with a quality online educational experience; an integral part of that being meaningful student and parent interactions. As an online instructor, you will work with students in an online environment and will in most cases, be the primary point of contact for our learners. We are looking to recruit teachers who seek to understand the challenges of online learning and strive to create real connections with our learners, bridging the distance between them.

- innovation and creativity to support students achieving learning outcomes in a variety of approaches that fit student needs and interests;
- the ability to communicate effectively with parents on student educational needs and progress;

- the ability to communicate clear and effective feedback on student progress;
- collaboration with colleagues on course development;
- knowledge of curriculum outcomes and indicators;
- current instruction and assessment practices; and
- commitment to work collaboratively with all staff to carry out the mission and vision of Sask DLC.

Experience with technologies such as Clevr, Moodle, MySchoolSask, and online communication software would be considered an asset.
