Key Accountabilities:
As the primary point of contact for our patients, the receptionist/optometric assistant is responsible for providing exemplary customer service. This individual will be professional and efficient in completing a wide variety of reception and administrative tasks.
Major Activities Include:
Ensure smooth flow of reception operations
Pleasantly greet patients
Answer telephones professionally: responding to routine inquiries, book appointments, direct calls and obtain messages
Ensure appointment schedule is well maintained and coordinated
Conduct pretesting duties
Actively collaborate with government agencies, specialists, suppliers, and insurance companies.
Process Financial transactions
Prepare letters and other documentation
Manage and maintain patient database
Education:
Completion of grade twelve or equivalent
Office Assistant Certification would be an asset, but is not a mandatory requirement
