We are looking for a fulltime CAD Technician to join our team. At Ross Machine Shop you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of distinct projects as we provide custom machining and fabrication to our customers. As well, you will benefit from flexible hours with NO shift work!
Position Overview
Perform a variety of design/drafting activities including preparing/updating installation drawings for projects, preparing assembly drawings.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting, or related field. Will also consider a Journeyperson Machinist or Millwright
- 2 to 3 years experience or ability to learn
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, knowledge of Solidworks and Advance Steel
- Excellent communications skills a requirement: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written
- Able to generate layout drawings from sketches, specifications and existing parts
- Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures
- Strong ability to problem solve
- The ability to use measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, transite, tape measures)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
