Description

The Ministry of Agriculture is seeking a highly-skilled and well organized individual to provide senior administrative support to the Deputy Minister's Office. The successful candidate must be a team player, able to both lead and collaborate, with a reputation for integrity and a focus on service excellence and innovation in their work. Strong interpersonal skills are imperative to foster positive working relationships with the Ministry of Agriculture, Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation, executive government ministries, and the Ministers Office.

As Senior Executive Coordinator, you will provide leadership, supervision and direction to other executive coordinators in the office so that day-to-day operations and functions are consistent, efficient and effective. Using your knowledge of the Ministry and its programs, you will respond to public inquiries both in person and by telephone. You will judiciously manage the Deputy Minister's calendar, schedule and prioritize meetings and manage all logistics involved in travel arrangements. This position will provide partial backup to the Executive Advisor to the Deputy Minister, and will provide support to the Minister's Office.

Our candidate of choice will have superior value-based leadership skills and well-developed teamwork and communication abilities. You will have the ability to effectively guide and coach colleagues in order to meet work objectives and maintain a positive work environment. You will be thorough and attentive to detail, yet adaptable, proactive and co-operative in order to meet new challenges and continuously improve. Typically, the knowledge and abilities for this position would be obtained through a combination of formal education and extensive experience in a senior administrative position.

We are committed to workplace diversity.
