Job Description:
The Assistant Grain Elevator Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a grain elevator, including procurement,  grain receiving, storage, and shipping. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grain handling and cleaning procedures, as well as experience in managing a team of employees.


Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the grain elevator, including procurement, receiving, grading, storing, and shipping grain
Manage a team of employees and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their jobs safely and efficiently
Maintain the grain elevator and its equipment in good working order
Ensure that all grain handling and storage procedures are followed in accordance with company policy and government regulations
Monitor grain quality and ensure that it meets customer specifications
Develop and implement grain marketing strategies
Work with customers to meet their grain needs
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in grain handling and storage
Experience in managing a team of employees
Strong understanding of grain handling and storage procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle physical labor
