Description

The Saskatchewan Liquor & Gaming Authority is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide support temporarily as a Manager, Cannabis Licensing within the Cannabis Licensing and Inspections Branch until April 17, 2026.

This position is required to work on-site.

Reporting to the Director, Cannabis Licensing and Inspections, the Manager, Cannabis Licensing, is responsible for overseeing the delivery of cannabis retail and wholesale permitting services, as well as the registration of cannabis suppliers in Saskatchewan. This role involves managing the daily workflow within the licensing team and collaborating with other branch managers to ensure coordinated efforts across teams.

The Manager will also develop branch processes and systems to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of program delivery. This includes evaluating cannabis applications and facilities for operational readiness and compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, the Manager will work with the branch management team to identify necessary policy and regulatory changes by consulting with industry stakeholders, researching other jurisdictions, and evaluating programs.

The position requires anticipating changes in industry trends and developments to facilitate the creation and implementation of policy and regulatory adjustments. The Manager leads a team of Licensing Specialists based in SLGA's Regina office.
