WRT Equipment Ltd. is a manufacturer of high-quality products and components for the aggregate, asphalt and mining industries. We are an ISO: 9001 2015 Quality Management System registered company. We are currently seeking a highly motivated person for the position of Human Resources Officer (Maternity Leave April 2025 - May 2026).
Duties include but are not limited to:
-All aspects of the recruiting process including posting job ads, screening, interviewing and candidate selection in consultation with department managers
-Orientation, onboarding and employee retention processes
-Administering all aspects of employee payroll functions
-Tracking employee tenure and turnover rates
-Coordinating and tracking employee training
-Helping managers identify training needs within their department
-Administrating WCB claims
-Coordinating and administering employee performance and wage reviews with department managers
-Enforcing company policies and procedures and dealing with all employees fairly and consistently
-Employee benefits administration
-Organizing employee appreciation days and other special events
-Following all procedures involved with the quality management system and actively participating in them
-Ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented
-Performing periodic bookkeeping duties as assigned by the CFO
Qualifications:
-Strong organizational skills
-Strong inter-personal skills
-Excellent employee relations skills
-Detail Oriented
-Ability to take direction and work under little supervision
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills
-Must hold and maintain a Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Experience:
-A diploma or degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a focus on Human Resource Management is required
-2 years related experience
-Industry experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
