The suitable candidates will be able to fulfill the following duties/responsibilities:
Provide support to the LLRIB Early Childhood Program to ensure guideline and regulation compliance in Little Red River, Hall Lake, Sucker River, Grandmothers Bay and La Ronge;
Monitor sites for health and safety;
Coordinate and plan staff training;
Provide guidance and direction to staff to meet centre standards and expectations;
Work closely with team members to ensure needs are being met in a timely manner;
Learn and support Early Childhood Program principles and philosophies;
Provide work plans and progress to the Immediate Supervisor;
Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications/abilities:
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent;
Valid Early Childhood Educator Level 3 issued by the Ministry of Education
Trained in using ASQ and ECERs screening tools
2-5 years of experience working as a supervisor, providing guidance, feedback; follow-up, and mentorship;
A combination of Education and Experience may be considered;
Experience using technology and data base systems effectively;
Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
Ability to travel to various LLRIB communities and provide training to staff;
Valid First Aid/CPR, WHIMIS and Food Safety Handlers Certificate is an asset;
Ability to speak /understand Cree and/or knowledge of Cree Culture is an asset;
Excellent verbal, written communication and public relations skills;
Must have Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check and a Drivers Abstract.
