-Assistance to youth participants facing barriers to employment to develop the skills and gain the experience they need to find and keep quality jobs through skills and employment training, professional development, individualized and other wrap around supports needed, and work experience.
-Promotion to local businesses to build awareness & identify employment opportunities for participants.
-Responsible for client intake assessment & registration
-Work with monthly, quarterly and/ or annual reporting.
-Create & maintain case/career management support for participants.
-Provide one on one employment counselling services to participants.
-Organize any employment related workshops and trainings to the participants.
-Create evaluation & post assessment forms for participants& partner employers.
-Provide support to employers during the participants work experience.
-Promotions of the program to all of PAMCs social media sites, distribution of programs promotional materials
-Community reach-out most especially to the rural areas surrounding the PA City within the scope of the program.
-Promoting the agency's mission, vision, values and objectives.
-General cleaning in coordination with other PAMC staff &volunteers.
-Other duties as assigned by Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelors degree or certifications in related to social work, education, psychology, or Program Management
-Minimum of 1yr experience working with youth and in management principles and practices
-Capacity to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
-Good knowledge about local, provincial and national labour market
-Demonstrable skill & enjoyment in working with youth, an excellent understanding of and knowledge of effective methods of employability support
-Ability to problem solve & make decisions
-Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
-Access to vehicles and a drivers license
