Description

The K/Pre-K School Teacher reports to the Principal at MEC. The position is a full-time, Term Position from March 3rd to June 27, 2025 for a maternity leave. Applicants who can speak the Saulteaux Language, and can display knowledge of early childhood education are encouraged to apply.

Possesses the following skills and abilities:

Able to work with diverse student needs from ages 4 to 6

Knowledgeable about First Nation culture and education

Knowledge and ability to plan for student success

Able to communicate effectively with staff and community members

Knowledge of land-based learning within our school programs.

Knowledge on the science of reading and able to assess student learning

Maintains a safe school environment for students and staff

Requirements:

Bachelor of Education Degree

Teaching experience is an asset but will consider new teacher candidates

Possess a valid criminal record check inclusive of the vulnerable sector check

Possess a valid drivers license
