Description

The SPSA is hiring for one (1) Term Labour Service position of Flight Watch Coordinator, in the Air Operations branch, located in La Ronge, SK.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing essential/legislated flight following services to ensure the safe flow of the Air Operations aircraft while they are conducting firefighting duties;
- Acting as the primary dispatch liaison between aircraft and land personnel during high fire activity; and
- Coordinating and arranging logistical needs for personnel.

To qualify for this position, the successful candidate will typically possess the following qualities;
- Excellent written and communications skills;
- Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures;
- Superior keyboarding / typing skills;
- The ability to work for extended periods of time in high pressure situations; and
- Conscientious with a high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and provide quality service.

Additional Information:
- The successful candidate must pass a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment;
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License is required; and
- A Restricted Radio License is a requirement for this position and can be obtained through Air Operations after hiring.
