Invites applications for the position of a full-time regular Groundskeeper at Warman High School. Warman High School is a Grade 9 to Grade 12 school located in Warman SK. The successful candidate will be required to work 1.0 FTE or 40 hours per week, performing general groundskeeping work and caretaking work as required. The starting salary for this CUPE position is $19.80 per hour.
The Groundskeeper will work closely with the Head Caretaker to maintain the school grounds to the highest standards possible. This work will include but is not limited to: snow removal from all sidewalks and entrances using snow removal equipment as well as shovel/ scrappers etc. Applying salt/sand as needed to maintain safe walkways. Maintaining outdoor garden area as well as maintaining shrubs flowerbeds etc. Ensure parking lots and greenspaces are kept free of debris and hazards. Operating hand tools and power equipment, including mowers, leaf blowers, string trimmers and snowblowers as well as performing general maintenance on all equipment. The Groundskeeper will also support the Principal in the supervision of the school parking lots and grounds. The Groundskeeper position will be supported by the division Caretaking Supervisor.
