Description

Applications are invited for the position of Learning Assistance Teacher at St. Gabriel School in Biggar, Saskatchewan.  This is a full time, continuing position, commencing the start of the 2025/2026 school year.

Learning Assistance Teachers work collaboratively with school teams to support diverse learning needs. The school team, in response to data and student needs, determines the support provided by the LAT. The LAT provides both direct and indirect support for students in the areas of instruction, assessment and programming and planning.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

    Must hold a Professional A Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
    Be committed to supporting and integrating Catholic virtues into their teaching and classroom environment
    Possess or be in the process of obtaining a Masters in Special Education or a Post-degree Certificate in Special Education
    Have classroom teaching experience
    Exhibit a strong understanding of response to intervention
    Provide evidence of using data to respond to student needs
    Demonstrate strong collaborative skills
