Description

The Maintenance Mechanic ensures the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical systems within the production facility. Key responsibilities include performing maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting equipment reliability to meet production and quality goals.

Details:

Monday to Friday
$29$36/hour
2 weeks vacation
Benefits after 90 days
Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, motors, conveyors, and production equipment.
Troubleshoot issues by observing equipment, listening for irregular sounds, and using testing tools.
Disassemble/reassemble machinery to replace or repair faulty components.
Track and evaluate equipment performance and new installations to minimize downtime.
Perform equipment repairs, including welding and metalwork using tools like drills and grinders.
Collaborate with production teams to plan maintenance tasks with minimal disruption.
Interpret blueprints, manuals, and specifications to guide maintenance procedures.
Provide updates to management on progress, equipment status, and challenges.
Respond to urgent maintenance needs outside regular hours as required.
Adhere to health and safety standards, HACCP, GMP, and company protocols.
Take on additional duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:

35 years of experience in maintenance or as a technician, preferably in a processing plant.
Practical experience maintaining and troubleshooting plant machinery and equipment.
Proficiency in welding, electrical systems, and motor repairs is an asset.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive mindset, self-driven, and able to foster a collaborative work environment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
