Description

The Ministry of Trade and Export Development is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, and accomplished professional for a one 1-year term position as Investment Attraction Specialist, in the Investment Attraction Branch in Regina.

The Investment Attraction Specialist (IAS) will be a tenacious, purpose-driven researcher and an enthusiastic collaborator, delivering high-impact investment attraction research and services that support Saskatchewans Growth Plan through our Ministrys Investment Attraction Strategy.  The Specialist will execute their duties across various sectors and with a variety of stakeholders in the province and internationally.

The Investment Attraction Specialist will be responsible for:

- Conducting market research and analysis to identify and qualify trends, investors, and business opportunities domestically, and internationally.
- Utilizing outstanding communication and writing skills to prepare comprehensive reports, and recommendations to support management.
- Understanding and creating links between industries and sectors, synthesizing information to provide strategic insights.
- Delivering high-impact investment lead research and prospect development services.
- Supporting the Ministrys investment attraction activities.
- Collaborating across functional teams and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Maintaining data tools that help the Ministry to manage comprehensive knowledge of important industry sectors and opportunities.

Typically, the knowledge and skills needed for this position are obtained through post-secondary education in commerce, business administration, economics, or a related area combined with experience in business development or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
