Description

Job Purpose

Men Like Me is a 30-week program funded by Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) to foster healthy mindsets, positive masculinity, and the prevention of Gender-Based Violence (GBV). The program empowers refugee and immigrant fathers through a peer-led model to become allies for their families and communities.

Men Like Me seeks a dedicated and passionate Program Facilitator to lead and support the program's initiatives. The Facilitator will play a critical role in recruiting, training, and engaging refugee, and newcomer immigrant fathers in the program, ensuring its success and impact. The Facilitator will conduct a 30-week training program for the participating fathers on father-led activity packages and male allyship.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Must have participated in the Men Like Me program previously and be a father of a young child.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by refugee and immigrant families. Lived experience will be an asset.
- Must have completed high school. A college education will be an asset.
- Able to communicate proficiently in English. Having a second language shared with the program participants will be an asset.
- Experience in recruiting and facilitating/training groups will be an asset
- Ability to work independently and effectively.
- Outreach and linkages within communities to support recruitment of fathers in the project.
- Valid Drivers License
- Reliable transportation
