The Rural Municipality of Laurier No. 38 seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join our team.
Work Schedule:
4 days per week (28 hours total)
Flexible off-day, determined weekly based on office needs
Key Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls
Processing emails and other digital correspondence
Typing, proofreading, and submitting forms, documents, reports, and financial records as required
Performing basic bookkeeping tasks, including payments, receipts, invoicing, and generating reports
Preparing bank reconciliations and deposits
Filing, organizing, labelling, and retrieving documents
Updating social media platforms and providing information to the public as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
Competency in computer use
Legally able to work in Canada
A clear Criminal Record Check is required
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Preference will be given to candidates with:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Experience in accounting and/or finance
Familiarity with Munisoft municipal software
Strong organizational and filing skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time efficiently
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
A goal-oriented and hardworking mindset
Willingness to learn and adapt
