Description

HJR Asphalt Inc. is seeking a civil engineer or civil technologist to join our team as Jr. Project Manager. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, experience in road construction, is detail-oriented and self motivated, and is able to work well in a team environment with a variety of personnel. The Jr Project Manager will assist managing planning, implementation, and tracking of projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget, taking care that proper resources are in place and available for each project.

Responsibilities:
Promote the company vision, mission, and core values
Ensure safety by promoting the company safety program
Work with Sr. Management to support the flow of people and equipment
Communicate with consultants, safety auditors, and Ministry staff as needed
Data entry & report preparation
Review & analyze project contracts and deliverables
Take part in project bidding
Maintain schedules & ensure cost efficiency to track projects and meet budget goals
Provide support to onsite Foremen and field staff
Provide quality control on a variety of projects
Provide constructive feedback to staff as needed
Keep regular and accurate records and documentation

Qualifications:
Working towards a Degree in Civil Engineering
General understanding of Quality Assurance/Control and OH&S practices
Strong oral and written communication skills in English
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Ability to travel to job sites across Saskatchewan
Ability to travel and stay overnight
Experience with surveying & materials testing is an asset
