The Assisted Living Homemaker, under the direction of the Registered Nurse, is responsible for home management to clients, based on assessed needs. The Homemaker may provide non-medical assistance to the clients as assigned and supervised by the Registered Nurse/Delegate.
Provide non-medical support to clients to assist with remaining independent in their own home
Proving home management and meal preparation assistance as assigned
Performing in a confidential and accountable manner
Homemaking and meal preparation tasks (i.e. meal preparation assistance and shopping assistance).
Assisting clients to be independent as possible, such as light housekeeping, changing linen, laundry, etc.
Reporting relevant changes in clients condition or caregiver status to supervisor.
Making recommendations for improvement in clients care to supervisor.
Maintaining accurate records of services given and health status changes observed in clients.
Attending training programs and in-services to maintain/increase knowledge base
Maintaining schedules and timesheets as required
Maintaining monthly statistics/reports, as required
Complete all necessary reports and records related to the department as required
Report any required maintenance and repairs
Any other duties as required
